Chapter 66 Inosuke Mouhira
Chapter 66 Inosuke Mouhira
Inside the village, Mi Douzi parried the wild boar boy's twin swords, thinking to himself.
This guy must be insane; he'll even kill people.
The boar boy's twin swords were firmly blocked by the Nichirin Blade, but he did not retreat an inch. Instead, he threw his head back and let out a wild and unrestrained laugh.
"Hahaha! Impressive! You woman are worthy of being my opponent! Come on! Let's have a showdown!"
"Please, look at the situation clearly!"
Midouzi gritted his teeth and hissed, glancing at Shanyi sleeping soundly not far away. His voice trembled with urgency.
"There are still evil spirits here that haven't been dealt with!"
"So what!"
The wild boar boy roared with his neck stiffened, and suddenly increased the force of his twin swords. The nicks in the blades grazed the edge of the pea, sparks flying.
"Let's settle this first, then I'll go and slaughter those bastards!"
"you……"
Ni Douzi was so angry that her chest felt tight, and she was about to retort.
A strange, piercing scream—neither wolf, bird, nor snake—suddenly ripped through the night sky!
The sharp sound waves were extremely piercing, sweeping in from the direction of the manor and causing the ground to tremble slightly.
Mi Douzi's heart tightened, and she abruptly turned her head to look in the direction of the manor, her pupils shrinking sharply.
"elder brother?!"
Thinking of my brother struggling inside!
The thought had barely crossed her mind when she heard the sound of a strong wind breaking through the air behind her.
The wild boar boy also shook his wild boar headgear in frustration, cursing under his breath.
"It's so noisy! What the hell is that noise?!"
The two turned around at the same time and saw that the three remaining evil spirits were taking advantage of the gap in their confrontation to pounce on Zenitsu, who was lying unconscious on the ground!
I can't get entangled with him anymore!
Mizuko's eyes sharpened as she noticed that the boar boy's attention was completely drawn to the demon. With a sudden flick of her wrist, her Nichirin Blade precisely wedged into the gap between the opponent's twin blades, locking it firmly in place.
The wild boar boy was stunned for a moment, and just as he was about to regain his senses and exert his strength, he heard Mi Douzi's clear and light shout:
"Water Breathing, Sixth Form: Twisting Vortex!"
Before he finished speaking, Mi Douzi suddenly changed his footwork, exerted force from his waist and abdomen, and spun up like a top gathering momentum.
The stuck twin swords became a fulcrum for leverage, and they actually managed to pull the boar boy's body along, making it spin rapidly with his own force!
"Wh...what?!"
The wild boar boy's pupils shrank in shock. He hadn't expected Mi Douzi to do this, and before he knew it, she had lifted him into the air.
"Excuse me!"
Midouzi's apology mingled with the sound of the wind as she suddenly exerted force on her wrist.
Using the momentum of the spin, the boar boy was violently flung towards the demon!
"You woman...!"
The wild boar boy roared in mid-air, wildly waving his twin swords.
Just as he was about to unleash a torrent of curses, he caught a glimpse of a demon lunging at him from below, and the words suddenly caught in his throat.
The next second, he was like a heavy cannonball, smashing hard into the three evil spirits!
"Bang!"
With a dull thud, the boar boy slammed solidly into the three demons, knocking his boar headgear askew to one side.
He clutched his head, cursing as he pressed down on the demon, wincing in pain.
The three evil spirits were so dazed and confused that they shook their heads.
Just as she saw the wild boar boy pinning her down, she was about to raise her hand and tear him to pieces.
A figure, accompanied by splashes of azure waves, rushed towards them like lightning!
"Water Breathing - First Form: Water Surface Slash!"
Mizuko's figure swept across the night sky, her Nichirin Blade drawing a clear arc of light like a mirror-like lake, so fast that only a blur remained.
With a flash of light, three demon heads shot into the sky, spraying black blood that instantly turned to ashes upon hitting the ground.
"Wow...that's amazing!"
The boar-like boy, supporting himself with his twin swords, got up from the ground. Looking at the pink figure slowly sheathing her swords in front of him, he was so shocked that his tongue tied in knots, and he stammered.
[She used me as a weapon, flinging me towards the demon, then immediately rushed forward to finish me off—all in one swift, decisive motion! This woman is incredibly strong!]
Inosuke swallowed hard, his heart churning with shock, and even his stubborn determination to win had weakened somewhat.
Mizuko deftly sheathed her sword, glanced at him, and without saying a word, immediately squatted down, hoisted the unconscious Zenitsu onto her shoulder, and sped off towards the manor.
"Hey! Woman! Why are you running?"
Seeing this, Inosuke immediately brandished his twin swords and gave chase, his booming voice shaking the roadside grass and trees, "Our battle isn't over yet!"
"This isn't the time to decide who wins!" Without turning her head, the wind whistled past her ears. "There's a Lower Moon demon in that manor!"
"Xixianggui???"
Inosuke's steps suddenly stopped, but he caught up again. His eyes, hidden behind the boar's head mask, shone brightly, and his tone was full of excitement.
"You didn't know?" Nezuko asked, glancing at him as she ran, her brow furrowed. "Aren't you a member of the Demon Slayer Corps?"
"Of course I am!" Inosuke shouted, sticking his neck out.
"And where's your team uniform?"
"It's in the way, throw it away!"
Midouzi stumbled, nearly choked by the confident reply, and after a long pause, managed to utter a single word: "Uh..."
"What's your name?" then Midouzi turned and asked.
Inosuke replied, following beside her.
"Kubira Inosuke!"
"My name is Kamado Nezuko, and I'm also a member of the Demon Slayer Corps!"
As soon as Mizuko finished speaking, Inosuke excitedly shouted.
"Pink flowers by the stove! Let's settle this now!"
"ha??????"
Midouzi froze instantly, turning to look at him in astonishment, wondering if she had misheard.
"Come on, pink flowers!"
Inosuke held up his twin swords, eager to try.
"Who are you calling?"
The veins on Ni Douzi's forehead throbbed.
"I'm calling you, Kamado Pink Flower!" Inosuke said matter-of-factly.
"My name isn't Pink Flower! My name is Mi Bean!" Mi Bean corrected her earnestly.
"Okay, pink bean!" Inosuke nodded and said again.
"It's a bean!"
"Okay, some kidney beans!"
"..."
Mizuko completely gave up arguing with Inosuke. As the outline of the manor became clearer, she simply shut her mouth, quickened her pace, and scanned her surroundings rapidly.
[There are no more wandering demons around. Next, we need to find a safe place to settle Zenitsu. His breathing is too rapid; he's clearly exhausted!]
Mizuko turned her head and glanced at Zenitsu, who was on her back with a furrowed brow and heavy breathing, and a trace of worry flashed through her mind.
"Um--……"
Inosuke suddenly groaned, stopped in his tracks, and looked toward the manor. His face, hidden behind the boar's headgear, was taut.
"There really are ghosts inside! There's a chilling smell!"
A sense of danger, like an icy tide, emanated from the depths of the manor, instantly enveloping the two of them.
