Chapter 984 Time to take disciples

When it was announced that Dan Ning was to become Lin Fan's third disciple, all of the elders looked like they had already expected this.

They had seen what kind of talent Dan Ning had based on the fact that she was able to destroy the pillar that they used to test talent. Without some kind of heaven defying talent, it would have been impossible for her to do something like that.

So it was expected that she would be able to become Lin Fan's disciple.

Lin Fan was no longer the weakest in the Love Sect, he was actually now the strongest in the Love Sect after everything that had happened. After all, the Soul Building Realm, Nascent Soul Realm, and Soul Formation Realm Cultivators that helped the Love Sect weren't actually a part of the Love Sect.

They were people that served the Mu Empire that helped the Love Sect when necessary.

So out of all those that fully belonged to the Love Sect, Lin Fan was the strongest and the most suited to be Dan Ning's master.

But at the same time, it wasn't as if they had the confidence to train someone like Dan Ning.

Someone with that kind of talent, they might be able to help in the beginning. But as Dan Ning became stronger and stronger, it would be inevitable that they would be outpaced by her and just become her burden in the end.

Dan Ning needed someone that could keep up with her talent or even surpass it to teach her.

That person was Lin Fan.

Out of everyone in the Love Sect, no one was able to see through Lin Fan's talent and just what kind of things he had at his disposal.

The biggest example of this was how he had trained Huang Xie.

Huang Xie was the strongest disciple of the Love Sect by far, even Xiao Ming couldn't keep up with him.

Others might not know this, but they as the elders of the Love Sect knew everything.

That was because some time ago, Huang Xie had actually had a spar with Xiao Ming and it was Huang Xie who came out on top. Huang Xie had firmly taken the title of top disciple of the Love Sect.

He was even so strong that many of the elders weren't able to defeat him.

He had definitely reached the point where he would be able to take on a position as an elder, but he insisted on staying as Lin Fan's disciple.

All of the elders understood why he made this choice.

It was the same with Xiao Ming who was just a bit weaker than Huang Xie.

If it wasn't for Lin Fan, they wouldn't have reached the point where they currently were. So it was only natural that they would want to keep following Lin Fan as his disciple so they could grow even more.

But even if they were convinced that Lin Fan was the only one that could be Dan Ning's master, that didn't mean that they didn't tease him about it.

The disciples took a while to come back from their shock before they had strange looks on their faces.

There were different kinds of expressions that they had, but the general gist of the expressions on their faces was that...they didn't seem confident. It seemed that none of them believed that they were at the level where they could take disciples yet.

One of the disciples suddenly asked, "Sect master, are you sure that you want us to take disciples?"

He didn't directly reject this, but rather worded it in a way that made it seem like he didn't believe that he was ready for it yet. It was worded in a way that would advise Lin Fan to think about this more carefully before going through with it.

But Lin Fan just said, "It's time for you all to take some disciples. You've already reached a level where it's normal for you to take disciples in any other sect, so why shouldn't you take a disciple now?"

When they heard this, the disciples had to think about it.

After thinking for a bit, it seemed like the disciples agreed with what Lin Fan said.

It was just that it was different since they were a part of the Love Sect.

The Love Sect was a sect that was much stronger than any of the other sects, so they didn't think that they were that strong. They didn't think that they were wise enough or old enough to take on any disciples.

But in reality, they had grown in the time that they had been in the Love Sect and they were certainly ready for this.

The elders didn't say anything during this and it seemed like they had calm looks on their faces, but in reality there were emotions that were hidden in their eyes. They were the ones that taught these disciples and now that their disciples were moving on to take disciples of their own, it was only natural that they would feel emotional.

It was like when one's child had children of their own.

It was like the feeling of getting grandkids.

Though it wasn't exactly like that either.

After a long silence, some of the disciples started to look confident about taking on disciples of their own. The words that Lin Fan said had moved them to a certain extent, so they felt that it was fine for them to give it a chance.

But there were also some that were hesitant about this.

One of them was Huang Xie who felt that he wasn't ready for this yet.

Or it was better to say that he didn't feel like he was ready to leave Lin Fan yet.

"It's not as if we're telling you to stop becoming our disciples. Even if you take on disciples of your own, you will still be our disciples. We're just telling you to do your part in taking care of the younger generation and helping them grow. I hope that all of you will be able to do your best for the Love Sect."

Lin Fan said this when he saw the looks on their faces.

The ones that had still been hesitating revealed surprised looks before traces of determination appeared in their eyes.

His words were more than enough to calm them and fill them with determination.

With the determined look that they had now, it didn't seem like there would be a problem.
