Chapter 2122 The Capture of Lyro
Chapter 2122 The Capture of Lyro
While the System was training the Rifle Mages through Jin's Dungeon Portals, the King himself had been ordered to move into the wilderness in the North along with the Pandarians. Jin did not have any qualms with it initially until the System had strongly encouraged the Dungeon Supplier to use his new Job Class, the Disciple of the Bamboo God to fight against the Demons.
Captain Hei as well as the other Pandarians who had learned the ways of the Rifle Mages took up bigger rifles because of their wider and sturdier frames. Instead of the usual rifles that the Army of Ress had been using, they were all holstering .50 calibre rifles as their standard weapon loadout.
Each shot they released into the demons' innards was more than sufficient to scatter the guts out in the open. There was no need for additional spells included in those .50 calibre bullets against any Demons that were Rank A and below, thus allowing the Pandarians to pull through the waves of monsters coming to their end.
And while the Pandarians clear the small fry, Jin and Captain Hei focused on the higher tier rank Demons. Although Jin was not a Pandarian nor was he able to copy the techniques those Pandas were using, he was able to adapt and improvise them while utilising the skills of his new job class.
With the Disciple of the Bamboo God as his new job title within the System, he was able to manipulate the chi around him to create literal bamboo. While impaling the Demons was the easiest method, Jin was pushed to do more with the manipulation portion. It's true that his strikes had been imbued with the power of Panda as the silhouettes of the Panda's paw came out each slash.
However, as he focused more on the skill of releasing the power of the bamboo, Jin realised that in a few of the slashes, the silhouette of a bamboo like sword appeared in the paws of the Panda silhouette. He realised that the powers were undoubtedly stronger as it felt like there was an additional striking force which was more in sync with his Bam and Boo when he used them.
One wrong move or one move slower and the Pandarians could be severely injured. Yet at the same time, this was the exact situation that the Vampiric Werewolves were in as well. The Pandarian use of guns were surprisingly nimble and they still hold onto their melee weapons in the brand new storage rings that the System had mass manufactured.
This way, they could change range and melee attacks almost instantly giving them an edge against the EX Rank demons. And if the weapons fail them, the Pandarians still can rely on their chi abilities as well their claws and teeth to fight back.
It was an intense bout as the werewolves had taken the fallen kingdom of Lyro as their home grounds and they had the knowledge of the terrain to their advantage. Unfortunately, that upper hand turned useless the moment Jin sent a scan spell and enabled the System to spread the information to all the Pandarians in the area.
This meant that the Pandarian War Mages were fighting with the System's recommendation and the coordination by the System also enable tactical manoeuvres to be more beneficial since they could take on more enemies despite their numbers.
Simultaneously, Jin was surprised that the new Pandarian War Mages were able to stand their ground after seeing how 'useless' they were when he first encountered them. (Other than Captain Hei).
Their competency in fighting were leaps and bounds from their initial state when Jin found them and even Captain Hei had became a formidable warrior that could rival or maybe stronger than Gara, Ress highest ranking General.
As the battle rages on against the Vampiric Werewolves, Jin was confident that he was able to get the Fallen Kingdom of Lyro once they had defeated the majority of the werewolves. This will then allow the System to move to the next stage where it will deploy batches of Rifle Mages through a series of portals to aid in clearing the remaining pests.
