Chapter 525: More Difficult Ingredients
Chapter 525: More Difficult Ingredients
In the past two months, Simon had come to the conclusion that he would have no other choice than to do what he was about to do.
If things went smoothly and if he was his lucky, his plan was to evolve his One-horned demon bloodline to a Daemon Bloodline before becoming an Archfiend.
However, that was not possible anymore.
And he expected this a long time ago.
Which was why he asked Lilith about two months ago if there was a way for him to still evolve his One-horned demon bloodline to a Daemon Bloodline.
And fortunately for him, she said there was.
However, the ingredients and process would be more difficult.
Previously, he needed the beating heart of a demon who had awakened his or her Daemon bloodline like Thorgan, or he needed. A vial of a Daemon’s blood.
Now, he needed the beating heart of a Daemon, not a vial of the Daemon’s blood.
Previously, he could choose between using ninety nine (99) demon hearts of two-horned demons, three hundred and ninety nine (399) demon hearts of one-horned demons, or six hundred and sixty six (666) demon hearts of various demon races.
But now, Lilith told him that he would need nine hundred and ninety nine (999) demon hearts of two-horned demons.
There was no other option for him to use.
Previously, he needed a living vessel that could absorb the impurities that would be expelled from his one-horned demon bloodline.
The vessel could be any demon race and any heart rank.
But now, the living vessel had to be a two-horned demon and not any random demon race.
And it also had to be a Minor Greater Demon at the very least for the demon to be able to completely absorb all the impurities of his one-horned demon bloodline.
The skull of a two-horned demon, the cutting of his horn, and the location remained the same.
However, the ingredients became more difficult to obtain.
Lilith also told him that the process would be excruciatingly painful, and that even though he had a ridiculously high pain tolerance, he would most likely scream during the process.
But was Simon worried about pain?
Absolutely not.
When Lilith told him that even though he became an Archfiend, he would still be able to evolve his bloodline, he was extremely relieved.
Normally, whenever a hybrid becomes an Archfiend, both bloodlines would attack one another and would try to overpower the other.
If the Archfiend’s Will was not strong enough, he or she would have to watch one of their bloodlines be defeated by the other.
Or, both bloodlines would be evenly matched and none would be able to overpower the other.
These two scenarios were not good because at the end of the day, they caused harm to the demon.
Even if one bloodline was able to overpower the other, that bloodline would not be able to show its full power because at the end of the day, it was impure.
The other defeated bloodline was not completely gone.
It had just been pushed deep into the demon’s body to the point that it was barely noticeable or wasn’t noticeable at all.
It was just like humans on earth.
Even though millions of years have gone by, every human came from Adam.
They might not look like him, but his bloodline was still in them.
As for the other scenario where both bloodlines are evenly matched, the battle of both bloodlines in the demon’s body could lead to the death of the demon or cause permanent injuries to the demon even after the two bloodlines stop fighting.
Hybrids had it difficult, and because many hybrids usually had the downgraded version of both bloodlines, they were usually very weak and seen as talentless trash... In most cases.
As for Simon, he was not worried about his two bloodlines getting into a long and brutal fight.
Without his Sky Tiger bloodline doing anything, his one-horned demon bloodline would be suppressed to the point that it might not be noticeable again.
The difference between the two bloodlines would widen drastically... until he’s able to evolve his one-horned demon bloodline.
Although his one-horned demon bloodline barely gave him any noticeable ability or power, Simon did not want to ignore it.
All hybrids had potential, majority don’t just have the methods and ability to carve out that potential.
He did.
He had the method through Lilith, and he had the ability through his talents.
If he disposed of it because it was somewhat convenient to have, it would be a waste in Simon’s opinion.
After the Shadow Inquisitors escorted Simon to his cell, they left him alone and walked away.
Simon used ShadowSense and his wind affinity to be certain that there was no other demon or living being present around him.
After making sure that he was alone, he removed his spatial ring from his boots and brought out the corpse of the Frostborn Elder.
Elder Mulon.
Before the corpse fell on the ground, Simon grabbed it by neck and without hesitation, he used Devour.
His cell had a formation that prevented demonic energy from flowing around him, but he still had a shit ton of hell stones with him.
He had a feeling that the prison also had a formation or an array that prevented demons from being able to absorb the demonic energy hell stones.
Or maybe it would alert the Inquisitors.
He wasn’t sure.
But that wasn’t his problem.
Right now, he had something he could use to gain more strength and become an Archfiend.
As Simon used Devour on Elder Mulon’s corpse, he felt a great deal of power coursing through his veins.
This was not his first time devouring a Greater Demon.
In fact, the first time he used Devour was on a Greater Demon, but the difference between that time and now was like night and day.
His proficiency was a lot higher now.
His body was more powerful and could absorb more from a Greater Demon’s corpse.
And right now... He was steadily raising his heart rank and was on his way to obtain a new affinity.
