Chapter 476 - 475: I Don’t Want to Make Things Difficult for Her
Bella nodded, "Then I’ll go, Senior Quinn, thank you for saving my life."
"At that time, we were walking together, no matter what, I would have been hit too. It was better to push you away. Besides, by pushing you away, I also avoided vital injuries and only suffered minor ones, didn’t I gain from this?" Archer Quinn smiled and said, "Alright, you should go now."
"Then I’ll go take a look first, Senior Quinn, you take care and rest." Bella waved at him and then went to open the ward door.
The assistant was standing outside the ward, and who knows how long he had been back.
Bella paused when she saw him, nodded, and left.
The assistant watched her leave before entering the ward and closing the door. He said, "Brother Quinn, I’m not saying but don’t you think you’re being a bit too noble?"
Archer Quinn leaned against the headboard, still holding the water Bella had just handed him. After hearing the assistant’s words, he lowered his eyes and said nothing.
The assistant sighed, "Brother Quinn, if you like her, you should pursue her. If you don’t fight for yourself, how do you know it won’t work out? Besides, you’re always so secretive, saying nothing more, how will Bella ever know your feelings?"
The assistant grew anxious watching Brother Quinn like someone so secretly.
"You don’t understand." Archer Quinn sighed, handing the water glass to the assistant.
The assistant took the glass and set it aside, saying, "Understand what? Brother Quinn, please have a bit more confidence in yourself. Don’t you know how handsome and attractive you are? Moreover, you are so good to Bella, not minding rearranging schedules time and again. This time you even almost risked your life; even living Lei Feng wouldn’t go this far." When he received the phone call about Brother Quinn’s car accident, he was nearly scared out of his wits.
Archer Quinn listened to the assistant’s chatter for a while before saying, "She has someone in her heart."
"What?" The assistant was taken aback, "Brother Quinn, are you saying Bella already likes someone? Is she with him?"
Archer Quinn rubbed his temples and nodded.
The assistant didn’t know what to say for a moment.
No wonder Brother Quinn wasn’t openly pursuing Bella; she already had a boyfriend. Yet, Brother Quinn still liked Bella, adjusting his schedule to record shows with her, introducing her to big directors, securing important film roles for her, paving the way for her career. He did so much, yet couldn’t express his sincerest feelings, how suffocating it felt.
"Brother Quinn, don’t people say anyone has a chance until they’re married! You..." The assistant still wanted to persuade Archer Quinn to strive a bit, though it felt somewhat unethical knowing she had a boyfriend, he couldn’t bear to see Brother Quinn so wronged.
"I don’t want to make her uncomfortable. If pursuing her makes her distant, I’d rather stay friends; at least I can look out for her in the entertainment world." Archer Quinn said, "When you see Bella, don’t say anything, understand?"
"I understand. If you don’t say anything, how would I dare?" The assistant sighed, changing the subject, "Shall I get you some porridge?"
Archer Quinn nodded, thinking as long as she was happy, retreating to be just a friend and watching her happiness was no bad thing.
Bella left the hospital, bought a bouquet of flowers, and took a cab directly to the hospital address sent by Little Bella.
She originally was near that hospital, but the ambulance had taken her further away, though not too far, just a ten-minute cab ride.
