Chapter 260: Divine Beast
Chapter 260: Divine Beast
"Roarrrrr!!"
A heaven-shaking roar erupted across the dry lands making the ground shake as a massive gray serpentine monster flew close to the ground, coiling and twisting forward in an incredibly fast thrusting motion
In comparison to scale, this beast was twice the size of the serpent Po had ridden into Blood Rock City. Its very presence sent shivers down the spine of anyone who dared to look upon it.
And that was saying a lot considering that everyone here was a peak expert of their own fields.
"What the...?" At the front of the group racing towards Yi Mountain, a member of the Golden Griffin Clan’s elite talents turned upon hearing the monstrous roar, his mouth falling open in shock and disbelief.
"Get out of the way!!" he shouted, immediately alerting his companions as the giant serpent rapidly approached. Despite its enormous size, it moved with blinding speed, intending to overtake the Royal Rocs.
Without hesitation, the Golden Griffin Clan’s men swiftly cleared a path, their eyes filled with disdain and annoyance as they watched the riders atop the serpent. Most of that bitterness was directed at the owner of the actualization: **Divine Kang**.
Though their master, Thane, refused to call Kang by his self-appointed title, considering it pompous, he never allowed anyone else to call him otherwise. To him, Kang was superior, and by extension, deserving of respect.
In their hearts, however, the Golden Griffin disciples harbored hatred for Kang. There was no one they wanted to kill more. Yet, he was insanely powerful.
"Don’t worry. You’ll fall into our hands soon," the leader of the Golden Griffin Clan muttered coldly as they slowed down, allowing Kang and the Blood Serpent Clan to pass.
"We’re almost there. Are you ready, Ken?" Rengoku, riding the back of the giant serpent, turned and asked the blond youth in white robes.
"Almost," the youth replied, calmly flashing a series of mysterious hand signs. With each movement, strange lights and symbols appeared in the air. Everyone was relying on him, and he wasn’t fond of it. He preferred to spend his time in leisure.
Unfortunately, the destiny of the talented rarely allowed for such peace. Like Black Wing, he too was a formation master with exceptional aptitude for spontaneous formation manipulation—a talent even Black Wing envied.
"First position, barrier," Ken muttered.@@@@
Just as they crossed the threshold and came into view of the Royal Rocs above, a giant transparent barrier sprang from Ken’s hands, expanding exponentially.
In the blink of an eye, it covered all the members of the Blood Rock Alliance.
**—Skrreeee**
"Third position!" Ken called out, and not only did a third layer form on the barrier, but it also expanded significantly.
This bought them enough time, but someone had to stay behind to ensure the others could escape. Like clockwork, after the barrier spread, Bran and Ken flew into the air, halting the Rocs in their tracks.
"Move!!" shouted Westlerr, leader of the Golden Griffin Clan’s men. The Blood Serpent Clan had unknowingly opened a door of opportunity for them, and Westlerr wasn’t going to waste it.
**—Voom**
**—Voom**
**—Voom**
**—Voom**
One by one, they passed by Ken and Bran at lightning speed, leaving only dust in their wake.
But in their haste, they failed to consider all possibilities. For instance, did Bran really look like someone who would sacrifice himself for the greater good?
A smirk broke across Bran’s lips as he muttered, "This is revenge for your master chasing me down like a common criminal."
At that moment, Bran pulled Ken’s robe and flew out of the way, creating space for the Rocs’ energy blasts to strike three of the Golden Griffin Clan’s men who had just flown past them.
"Fuck!!" Westlerr cursed as the birdlike screams from behind echoed in his ears. They had been schemed against? What was going on?
During this race, they had lost more men than the other two clans combined—a particularly embarrassing fact given they had trained for this for nearly a year.

**Meanwhile:**
Inside a cave in the Yi Mountain Range, a young figure’s eyes snapped open in the dark.
"They are close."
