Chapter 152: Sleeping beauty and the Demon

"Sky chess, a single move can through heaven into turmoil"

The lady opposite King yunas commented casually with a smile on her face.

Back in sky Palace, no one would dare Challange him so casually in the game of sky chess.

Sky chess was not your ordinary chess game that common folk were use to. Instead of 16 pieces per person, this one had 40. Giving it a totally of 80 pieces completely eclipsing the 32 on a normal chess board.

"Here!!" King yunas moved a piece forward with thrill. He saw an opening in his mind in the split second between him playing his next move and giving up.

"Are you sure about that move?" the lady asked mockingly

This move was the stupidest move she could think of. Probably she thought too highly of this Yunas because of his power level...

"Ahhh? Did I make a mistake?" Yunas scratched his chin in confusion. His previous move was the best one he could think of at the moment, but if she was saying it was a bad move then...

"Hmmm, its to be expected. After all, you aren’t that well versed in the circle codex" the lady from the sky temple shurrgd then streched her hand forward to make a move.

A gust of wind picked up in the pavilion and pushed all the pieces to the floor on front of the marquee.

"Hmmm, I see" Yunas stood up immediately and nodded his head. At that moment he turned to the marquee and said

"Let’s go"

He had lost, and was bleeding from his left nostril, the lady was just too good.

Soon the king and marquee left the pavilion leaving only the lady and the sky chess board.

"We are going to have to make a move sooner or later"

While she sat in silence, the voice of a young man resounded next to her as her student appeared right beside her.

"I know, but I would like to see how far he has gone in his magic formation path" the lady responded as she looked blankly into the sky before them.

"Are you dumb? Why would it be like that? Fuck!!! Who gave you all you have? Are you a fraud?"

Inside of Badur’s gates, the sorcerer berated Leon like a four year old child. Teaching Leon the way of the sorcerer and the concepts that guided the path was a pain in the ass.

"Uhhhhh" Leon looked blankly at the sorcerer’s annoyed face. He was only asking questions? Was there a need for him to berat him as such?

"Shit!! Are you dumb ?" The sorcerer doubled down, he was clearly feeling superior at the moment considering their teacher student relationship at the moment.

"There’s nothing in our contract that says I can’t make your remaining days in this dungeon a living hell. I hope you know that " Leon grew tired of the berating and threatened. He didn’t know what had gotten into the sorcerer’s head, but he wouldn’t take it laying down.

"Hmmm," realising that he had gone a bit too far the sorcerer stopped his berating and explained the concepts to Leon slowly once again.

He had tasted Leon’s torture methods and honestly would rather not go through It once again.

After some time passed Leon nodded and made his way out of Badur’s Gate with a serious look on his face.

"Shit!!!" Leon immediately winced in pain as he felt his soul and body ache. The soul was trying to take over his body?

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck!!!!" Leon screamed In pain and struggle. He had never felt this weak and powerless before, except for when his soul was extracted. This was a massive error on Leon’s part, he was too careless and didn’t think this all the way through.

if the soul was really trying to overtake him then it was really bad..

"No....that’s not it," after a few seconds of painfully turning around on the floor trying to figure a way out of this Leon started understanding that this was not the case.

The soul of lilian wasn’t actively trying to take over, it was still In its dormant stage.....the real reason this was happening was because Leon was too weak.

He had tried to consume the soul of a level 5 mage with no prior training in the path of soul energy manipulation.
