Chapter 128: unknownly became a force to be reckoned with

"Ergg"

In the crowd the other members of the vertan faction watched in horror as carlson laid seige on the blade Demon.

A knee to the chin a blow to the groin, and a head butt to thw eyes. It was hard to watch what carlson was doing to him...it seemed somewhat personal, but then again....was it really?@@@@

After all, carlson didn’t know what the blade Demon really looked like in real life.

"Enough, Enough" Leon called carlson off with a smirk on his face. Carlson had no beef with the blade Demon, this beating was on Leon’s request.

Hearing Leon, carlson jumped back from where the blade Demon laid and turned to Leon.

"Nice" Leon gave him a thumbs up then with the side of his eyes he looked at jade. He had gotten them another ally for their course....the waterway family.

He expected her to trust him more than anything now. This was crucial for his plans to take over the faceless mercenary company indirectly.

Yes, Leon’s plans involved a hostile take over of the company, at least for a short period of time.

"The next fighters...." Jade stuttered...she didn’t know what to say at the moment, the next fighter was between peak level mages , but Leon had just shown that he was exactly at that stage.

Would she have to give up her already established fighters for him? After all, it seemed like he merited it.

"Hehe, there’s no need for another fight, we both concede" before jade could think of a solution a voice sounded from behind her.

Turning around, her gaze landed on a familiar figure. Darknorth.

Darknorth was not only a loyal member of the vertan faction, he was also the person whom had recruited Leon. After the incident with the Sorcerer killing off several of his friends, he became incensed, and began training uncontrollably.

Finally he entered the peak of level 2, one step away from becoming an elder, he was very close to having the ability to protect himself and his few comrades....but who would have thought that Leon, whom be had recruited as a nobody level 1 mage would be at the same level as him today?

He didn’t feel jealousy though, he always knew that Leon was special.

"Are you sure?" Jade looked guiltily at Darknorth, she knew how hard he had been working, and at the last minute he would lose the chance to participate in a life changing service to protect his home.

"We are" right next to him another peak level 2 mage spoke, he was meant to be Darknorths opponent in this match, but he too understood that this was not possible.

Unlike the blade Demon, he had Darknorth understood that Leon’s participation was crucial because the support he brought with him was enormous.

"Okay, Brother badur wins, he will represent us on the stage" Jade nodded finally upon hearing them agree.

"Hm?" Arian frowned and recieved the object. Immediately though, she felt its weight and frowned. It was quite heavy.

Unwrapping it, she was presented with a sword. Imagine a sword crafted with meticulous precision, its blade flowing seamlessly from hilt to tip, reminiscent of frozen water in the palest shade of blue. As you hold it, a chill races through your fingers, evoking the sensation of gripping a sliver of ice.

It also exuded an aura Leon was very familiar with. A level 3 magic treasure.

"This..." Arian frowned while looking at this treasure, she didn’t know where the treasure had come from and when Leon got a hold of it.

But she was astonished.

"Hehe, enjoy it. It’s a gift from our friends at the waterway family household" Leon smiled and said to Arian.

His words struck a cord in her heart, even though she was at level 3 she had been using a level 2 weapon all the while, this was simply because there were little to no level 3 treasures for sale.

And the few that were, were exorbitant.

She didn’t know how Leon had gotten the waterway family to give her a grade 3 weapon, but one thing was sure. She was genuinely grateful.

(If only she knew how I got a hold of it)

Leon smiled bitterly.

If Arian knew how he got the waterway family to part with this weapon she would directly reject it.

"What’s the stalling for?" At the base of the hall, the Hairy elder asked with a tinge of impatience.

Leon had proposed a spar why was he wasting time now?

"We apologise, you can begin now" Leon looked up and the elder and Said.

"Hmm" Arian looked at Leon once again, nodded and resumed her descent this time, with an elegantly made blue sword with a beautiful icy feel to it.

"Hmm?" It was only now that the elder noticed the new addition to Arians arsenal.

"That’s can’t be right? What kind of...." The elder sensed it, but he was in denial. A grade 3 weapon was just too rare, even though they had a few in the company....it was still very hard to request usage from Damien and the rest.

He didn’t know what to think of this, but it was clear to him that whatever power was backing Leon was a really powerful one.

He secretly became worried. What If this was a power they couldn’t cut off after Damein returns? What if it swallowed them whole? Was this really a good idea?

Leon had unknownly caused fear in the heart of this old man.
