Luna Langley was a little worried about his burn and sent him a message reminding him to apply the ointment. He didn’t reply for two hours, likely because he was on the plane.

This was the first time Silas Lockwood had introduced her as his "wife" in public, and the first time he had called her by her name like that.
A strange sense of intimacy washed over Luna Langley like a tide.
Her heart began to pound uncontrollably.
"It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Lockwood," Shane Sterling said, extending his hand to Luna Langley.
Luna Langley shook his hand. "Hello, President Sterling. I’ve heard so much about you."
"Silas just got back from his trip today, so I’m sure you two have a lot to talk about. I won’t get in the way." Shane Sterling gave Luna Langley a friendly smile. "Luna, when you have time, you and Silas should come over for dinner."
"Okay."
Adhering to the principle of not being a third wheel, Shane Sterling tactfully entered the conference hall first.
Luna Langley’s face was still red from Silas Lockwood’s earlier "my wife."
"What’s wrong?" Silas Lockwood asked, looking at Luna Langley and easily noticing her blush.
"Nothing."
"Is it because Sean is too handsome?" Silas Lockwood joked.
"You’re very handsome too," Luna Langley blurted out.
She said it with such sincerity that it caught Silas Lockwood off guard.
The atmosphere suddenly became delicate.
"How’s your hand?" Luna Langley quickly changed the subject.
"It’s all better now." Silas Lockwood showed her the back of his hand. The skin no longer showed any sign of the burn.
"That’s good."
"Let’s go inside."
"Okay."
Luna Langley and Silas Lockwood were both seated in the front-row guest section, but one was on the far east side and the other on the far west side, placing a great distance between them.
During the conference, Silas Lockwood also went on stage to give a speech as an entrepreneur representative.
Although Silas Lockwood had only recently taken over the Lockwood Group, his transition from an airline pilot to a businessman, coupled with his recent breakthrough after a period of illness, gave his story a legendary quality. His speech was also written with great sincerity, moving many of the attendees.
Luna Langley was no exception.
When she heard the part about him giving up his dream of being a pilot and his illness, her eyes even welled up.
Luna Langley raised a hand to dab at the corner of her eye. When she looked up at the stage again, she found that Silas Lockwood’s gaze, by sheer coincidence, was fixed right on her.

Just as Luna Langley was about to pretend to casually look away, she heard Silas Lockwood add one final sentence: "For the Lockwood Group to be where it is today, I must also thank my wife for her support."
