Chapter 383 Magnificent Scene
Chapter 383 Magnificent Scene
The floodgates opened, and with deafening cheers, the torrent surged into this paradise full of miracles and fantasies.
Kushina Uzumaki felt her blood boiling. She grabbed the wrist of the blond boy beside her with such force that Minato Namikaze couldn't help but grimace.
"Watergate! Charge!"
Her red hair swung in a scorching arc under the lights, and she transformed into a tiny red cannonball, dragging the water gate as she plunged into the densest part of the crowd.
"Kushina, slow down..."
The sound of the water gate was instantly drowned out by the surging crowd.
His hand was held tightly by Kushina, and the warmth and undeniable strength of her touch traveled from his palm to his heart.
Everything before her eyes was so novel to Kushina that it made her jump up on the spot.
Along the roadside, the flower shops of the mountain tribe, surprisingly, displayed rows of blooming winter orchids under a semi-transparent enclosure during the cold winter. Their delicate fragrance, mixed with the cold air, was particularly refreshing.
Meanwhile, at the Inuzuka clan's booth, several imposing ninja dogs were putting on an incredible performance. They weren't tearing or biting, but rather carving ice blocks with precise claw techniques, drawing cheers from the surrounding children.
But none of this could stop Kushina.
Her nose twitched, accurately catching the domineering and rich fragrance in the air.
"It's meat! Roast meat! Dattebane!"
The girl's eyes shone as she pulled the water gate and nimbly weaved through the crowd, her sights fixed on a huge stall billowing with steam.
The Akimichi clan's flag fluttered high, and in front of the stall, Akimichi Torifu was personally cooking with a radiant face. His burly figure looked particularly convincing in front of the huge grill.
The huge, specially made iron shovel in his hand flew about, flipping over large chunks of sizzling, oily Konoha No. 1 pork. The rich aroma of the meat mixed with the sweet scent of the secret sauce created an irresistible shockwave.
"This is it!"
Kushina's purple eyes reflected the golden, oily sheen of the grilled meat, and she began to unconsciously swallow her saliva.
Minato looked at her greedy expression with doting eyes.
He was about to suggest joining the queue when Kushina suddenly slammed on the brakes and turned to look in another direction.
There, Sakumo Hatake's Wood Leaf Ecological Farm booth stood out as particularly fresh and unique.
There was no strong aroma, only a field shrouded in a constant-temperature barrier. On the field, bright red strawberries, set against the backdrop of green leaves, looked as plump as red jewels.
"Strawberries! Winter strawberries!"
Kushina let out a blissful moan, "I want to eat that!"
"Okay, let's go buy strawberries first, then we'll go eat barbecue."
Minato responded gently, letting her change direction again, leading him towards the red that represented miracle.
Kushina's happiness was infectious; being with her made any place feel joyful.
Not far away, Jiraiya was struggling through the crowd with Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato.
Yahiko's eyes darted around, curiously taking in his surroundings.
Konan clung tightly to Jiraiya's clothes, pointing at things from time to time, as if trying to remember every detail.
Nagato's dark eyes remained fixed on the faces of the surrounding villagers, and their laughter and expectant expressions gave him an unprecedented sense of peace.
"Wow! It's concrete!"
Yahiko suddenly stopped and stared intently at a display stand.
That was the science and technology industrial zone overseen by Danzo Shimura.
In the center of the huge exhibition stand, a model reservoir made of gray-white chakra concrete stands majestically.
Several ninjas from the construction team were using heavy ninja tools to test the model's resistance to pressure, producing a series of dull impact sounds.
The massive hammer, imbued with wind pressure, slammed down, yet the concrete model remained completely still.
"This is the strength of the Third Generation Chakra-Reinforced Concrete! It's the foundation of Konoha!"
Danzo, standing on the booth, spoke loudly. His uniform was impeccable, and his face even carried a rare, passionate expression.
Yahiko's breathing became rapid as he stared intently at the seemingly indestructible block of cement.
"Jiraiya-sensei, that's amazing! Can it protect so many people?"
Jiraiya stepped forward and scratched his head.
"Well... this isn't your average ninjutsu; it's Danzo-senpai's ingenious talent for infrastructure development! He's going to build the village into the most impregnable fortress!"
He explained, then muttered to himself, "This guy used to be a gloomy old man, but now he's even more eager to show off than I am."
Xiao Nan, however, was drawn to another exhibition area.
There were various exquisite ninja tool models and handicrafts on display, including intricately carved wooden kunai and origami cranes folded from colored paper. She gently tugged at Jiraiya's sleeve and pointed to one of the giant flying birds made of folded paper.
"Teacher, that bird..." she said softly.
"Oh? Xiao Nan likes it?"
Jiraiya smiled and ruffled Konan's hair.
Nagato didn't approach; he simply looked at the exhibits from afar, his gaze mostly shifting between Yahiko, Konan, and the jubilant villagers around them.
