Chapter 651 - 651: Trillion
And wait, they did. For nine days, Su Jiyai slept like the dead, unmoving except for the steady rise and fall of her chest.Qin Feng never left her side for long; sometimes he sat reading, sometimes just holding her hand.
On the ninth morning, when sunlight once again spilled across the bed, Su Jiyai's eyelids fluttered. Slowly, she opened her eyes.
The first thing she saw was a pair of blue eyes staring at her curiously, eyes that looked strangely familiar.
Then she noticed another little face beside it, with hair as dark as midnight and a grin just like Qin Feng's.
For a moment, Su Jiyai blinked in confusion. "What beautiful dolls," she murmured with a sleepy smile, reaching out to pinch their cheeks.
Both children blinked. The little boy frowned slightly, while the girl giggled.
Then realization dawned on Su Jiyai. "Wait…" She rubbed her eyes, staring harder. "You're not dolls, are you?"
The twins shook their heads.
In the next instant, Su Jiyai gasped and pulled them into her arms. "My babies," she whispered, her voice trembling with joy. "My son and daughter…"
The little girl giggled again, whispering to her brother, "Daddy said Mommy's smart, but she doesn't seem that smart to me."
The boy sighed, though his lips twitched with amusement. "Be quiet," he said seriously. "Mommy's just waking up."
Su Jiyai laughed softly, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes as she hugged them tighter.
Just as Su Jiyai was hugging her son and daughter with all the love she could give, she suddenly heard the sound of a door opening.
Instantly, both she and her kids looked toward the door. Qin Feng stood there, smiling awkwardly.
"I didn't mean to come in like this," he said, scratching his head. "But what can I do? I couldn't stand seeing my wife hungry."
Su Jiyai laughed softly. She knew he was lying. Ever since she had awakened her vampire and werewolf sides, she didn't really need to eat much anymore.
Sometimes, blood even felt more tempting than food.
But that changed when her werewolf side became stronger; she had gained control over her thirst and didn't crave blood or food at all now.
Looking at her husband, who was clearly making silly excuses just to see her, she rolled her eyes and walked up to him. Without thinking, she wrapped her arms around him tightly.
Qin Feng laughed and teased, "I'm just worried you'll faint again like last time when we were kissing."
Su Jiyai rolled her eyes again. "That was just one time! I was super tired that day."
He chuckled, patting her back gently. But before Su Jiyai could relax, something popped into her mind...her base!
Her people! What was happening there now?
Grabbing Qin Feng's hand, she looked up and said seriously, "I want to know everything that's happening in my base."
Qin Feng chuckled and stroked her hair. "It's not really a base anymore," he said. "It's a state now."
"I know that," Su Jiyai said impatiently. "I remember I'm the owner and basically the royalty there. But the changes I saw on the way home looked huge. There were new buildings, shops, even big factories everywhere! It feels like the whole place turned into one giant manufacturing hub. What happened?"
Qin Feng smiled gently. "How about you eat first? Then I'll tell you everything, okay?"
Su Jiyai sighed but nodded. She was curious, but she also wanted to clean up first.
"Fine," she said, kissing his cheek. "Give me ten minutes. I'll take a shower, then we'll talk."
She turned to her twins and said warmly, "Mom will tell you lots of fun stories later. Go wait for me downstairs, okay?"
Both kids nodded excitedly and hurried out. But before leaving, the little boy turned to look at her again, studying her face carefully.
Su Jiyai blinked in confusion, wondering what that look meant. Qin Feng just laughed. "You'll find out soon," he said.
Curious, Su Jiyai rushed to take a shower. But as soon as she stepped inside, Qin Feng followed her in. She froze for a moment before realizing what was going on.
She laughed. "Don't even think about it," she said, giving him a playful glare. "I'm too hungry right now. I might actually faint if you delay me."
Instantly, the mischievous look in Qin Feng's eyes disappeared. He sighed dramatically.
"You really know how to kill the mood," he said helplessly.
Su Jiyai giggled.
"I'm not killing the mood. I'm just making sure you follow orders. You know how overprotective you get when it's about my health."
He sighed again and shook his head. "I should've never told you that's my weakness," he muttered, turning to leave the shower.
Su Jiyai wanted to pull him back for teasing's sake, but her curiosity about the outside world was stronger.
She finished her bath quickly, dried herself, and went downstairs.
The moment she stepped into the living room, she was greeted by her parents, Jacob and Anna. They ran to her, tears streaming down their faces as they hugged her tightly.
"Our daughter's finally home!" Anna sobbed. "We missed you so much! If you hadn't come back soon, we would've gone to other dimensions to find you ourselves!"
Su Jiyai laughed, patting their backs gently. "I'm here now," she said warmly. "But I'm starving. Let me eat first, then you can drown me in hugs."
Her parents immediately pulled away, smiling through their tears.
"Of course!" Anna said quickly. "We already made all your favorite dishes! Qin Feng cooked half, and we made the rest together!"
Su Jiyai's eyes lit up. "Really?" She sat at the dining table, and her eyes widened at the sight.
There were all kinds of seafood, vegetables, and soups spread out.
The smell alone made her mouth water. Even though she had eaten many strange foods in other worlds, nothing compared to her family's home-cooked meals.
Without holding back, she started eating like someone who hadn't seen food in a hundred years. Her twins watched her with wide eyes.
"Daddy," the little boy whispered, "does Mom have Taotie's blood too? She's eating like one."
Qin Feng almost choked on his drink. "If your mom hears that," he warned, bending down to their level, "she'll spank both of you."
Both kids instantly pressed their lips together and nodded.
When Su Jiyai finally finished eating, she leaned back with a satisfied sigh. "Okay," she said, smiling at Qin Feng. "Now tell me everything."
Qin Feng nodded and led her to the living room, where they sat together on the couch.
"First question," Su Jiyai said quickly, looking at her children. "What are their names?"
Qin Feng smiled proudly.
"Since I didn't know what names to choose, I used the list you gave me before you left. I named them Selena Su and Tyler Qin."
Su Jiyai's eyes softened, and she smiled brightly. "Perfect," she said. "Good job, husband."
She opened her arms, and both Selena and Tyler ran into them, giggling happily.
Even though they didn't show it earlier, they were incredibly happy to have their mother home.
They had always known she was away on a very important mission... one that kept their world safe. Now that she was back, they could finally feel her warmth again.
Su Jiyai hugged them tightly, planting kisses on their cheeks. "You two are the best," she whispered.
After a while, she turned to Qin Feng. "What about Su Zhi? I don't see him around."
Qin Feng rolled his eyes. "Your brother is busy working on one of his big experiments. He's also making his company go public soon."
Su Jiyai blinked, then laughed proudly. "Wow! That's my brother for you!"
Qin Feng smiled.
"And your best friend Han Weilin will be coming to visit soon. She's been handling her own projects but said she'd drop by as soon as she heard you're back."
Su Jiyai's eyes softened again. "I've missed her," she said softly.
Qin Feng leaned back, smiling warmly at his wife. "Oh, and one more thing," he said casually.
"Since you were gone, I managed all your assets for you. Right now, your main account balance is 20 trillion dollars."
Su Jiyai's jaw dropped. "What?! 20 trillion?!" She stared at him in disbelief.
"Are you serious? How did my state even earn that much? I mean, are we richer than the whole country now?"
Qin Feng laughed and shook his head.
"No, not richer than the country since there is no annual record of a country's net worth. And don't forget... you told me to donate fifty percent of all profits to charity. So technically, it could've been 40 trillion."
Su Jiyai blinked, completely stunned. "Oh my god," she muttered. "I really said that?"
He nodded, amused. "You did. You said, and I quote, 'If I ever become too rich, make sure half of it helps others.' So I kept that promise for you."
She couldn't help but laugh at herself.
