Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity

Chapter 295: Daring Plan

Chapter 295: Daring Plan

"Badur?"The young man with silver hair looked directly at Leon with a look of utter shock on his face. He hadn’t seen this kid for years—after the battle in Eldoria, he seemed to have just fallen off the face of the earth with his two companions.

Seeing him here now, in this place, was naturally shocking.

Leon, too, upon hearing his old name, looked up in surprise to see his old friend, Carlson Waterway. They had fought together many times in Eldoria, and among the many people he knew, Carlson was one of those he respected most.@@@@

He was clear-headed, smart, and always ready for the worst. He was what Leon envisioned himself to be if he hadn’t been forced down his path in his past life.

...

A few minutes later, Carlson and his companions joined Leon and his friends, seated around the table as they discussed things from the past.

They spoke about the political situation in Eldoria after Leon left, how the kingdom’s territory was divided, and who took over what.

Then they moved on to the lives of those they knew personally.

For example, Damian, Arian’s father, and several level-four mages had defected from the royal family’s side and created an alliance west of the kingdom, with the territory split between them and their warlock allies.

This was, of course, seen as a major betrayal by the royals. However, with the presence of the new Sky Sovereign, Drothan, the royals dared not take action.

"What about the warlocks?" Leon asked calmly. He knew most of what had happened, but for some reason, Liana seemed hesitant to speak on what happened to Bertholomew and his little brother.

"I’m not aware. Their dealings were kept on the hush-hush most of the time." Carlson took a long sip of tea from a jade cup while looking at Leon.

"What about you? Apart from finally reaching your clansmen in your ancestral home, what else happened?" Carlson asked, genuinely interested in what Leon had gone through in the Sacred Lands.

"Haha, a lot happened. But I’m afraid I’d be hanged if I spoke out of turn," Leon smirked bitterly.

Backed directly by the five giants of Finor, there was no shortage of resources in Sky Palace, allowing them to train the most monstrous talents in all three regions. As such, their heads were just as powerful as even him...

Some, even more powerful.

Yes, it was a fact that the palace was headed by an existence beyond the transcendent stage.

"Wooo..." Hearing these words from Ni’an’s mouth, Leon couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming pressure in his chest.

He hadn’t even fully understood transcendent beings, and now another level had been placed before his eyes? It was stressful.

"The kid, I’ve heard of him before. He’s one of the heirs to one of the twelve halls—the Hall of Magic.

"It is said that this Technique God Carlson can master any new spell of the water and fire variety placed before him in a matter of minutes. He apparently scaled the hall’s magic pathway and received the Eye of the Emperor, a magic item left there by the head of the human clans himself."

Leon could see the admiration in Ni’an’s eyes as he described Carlson’s feats—they were truly extraordinary.

But, of course, Leon also knew that this Ni’an wasn’t any less talented, especially with the way he referred to the hall masters by name.

They were all transcendent beings, but from what Leon knew, Ni’an was no much older than Kang and Thane.

"Okay, so what does this mean?" Leon asked, skeptical. He didn’t understand why Ni’an was speaking to him like this in such a dark corner.

It felt like he wanted to tell him something.

"Well, isn’t it obvious? Your friend there is important in Sky Palace. He could naturally sneak us in... or even help us through the needle’s eye." Ni’an relaxed back in his chair, staring deeply into Leon’s eyes.

A daring plan was forming in his mind.
